ABSTRACT : This paper examine the role of women and youth in sustainable development in Kouh-Est Department, Logone Oriental(Chad). Women and youth play a significant role in agricultural and pastoral activities and in the manngement of natural resources, yet their participation is limited by economic, social, and environmental contraints. The study adopts a mixed-methods approach, combining questionnaires, semistructured interviews, and direct observations. Findings indicate that empowerment, access to education, and participation in local decision-making are crucial to enhance their impact on sustainable development. Recommandtions are provided topromote inclusion, technical training, and access to ressources.
