ABSTRACT : This study investigates how technology influences the different forms of traditional and modern Filipino literature among college students enrolled in Kolehiyo ng Subic during AY 2025–2026. It acknowledges that Filipino literature plays a very crucial role in maintaining the country’s history, culture, and experiences shared by the people. The research study shall delve into how technological tools influence students’ interest, comprehension, and appreciation of the literary works. The study applied a descriptive quantitative approach in nature, where the self-designed questionnaire was preferred with statements that use a 4-point Likert scale. Thirty students from different programs and yearly levels, all active users of technology in academic and literary activities, participated in this study. Data was based on how technology affects students’ perceptions of traditional literary forms – epics, folk tales, and proverbs and the modern form: digital poetry, blogs, and multimedia adaptations. The results showed that traditional teaching methods, personal discussions led by the teacher and the direct reading or recitation of texts, had the most powerful effect on students’ comprehension and emotional contact with the material. This proves that the core of literature learning is still human contact, which animates the texts in ways that technology alone could not. Meanwhile, modern digital tools like multimedia and online adaptations proved efficient for provoking students’ interest and motivation, particularly when combined with guided instruction and structured activities. What this means is that the integration of traditional and technological methods yields the most significant learning experience. While technology makes literature more accessible, interactive, and engaging, traditional approaches are still fundamental for deep understanding and a real appreciation of Filipino literary heritage. The research insists on thoughtful integration that will allow educators to assist students in emotionally and intellectually appreciating the richness of Filipino literature.
