ABSTRACT : This study aims to analyze the influence of transformational leadership and work environment on employee performance, with organizational commitment as an intervening variable. The population of this study were employees of the East Kutai Regency Industry and Trade Office. The sampling technique used total sampling, with a sample size of 156 respondents. The data analysis method used was Partial Least Square (PLSSEM) to test the direct and indirect relationships between variables. The results showed that transformational leadership has a positive and significant influence on employee performance and organizational commitment. The work environment has a positive but insignificant influence on employee performance, and organizational commitment has a positive influence on employee performance. Transformational leadership has a positive influence on employee performance through organizational commitment, and the work environment has a positive and significant influence on employee performance through organizational commitment.
