ABSTRACT : The problems that will be discussed in this study are (1) what is the form of the strategy ofpoliteness in the directive speech acts of teachers and students in learning Indonesian in Junior High School.Thisstudy aims to describe the form of directive speech acts and politeness strategies for teachers and students inlearning Indonesian in Junior High School. The object of this research is students in grade VII, VIII, XI.
